Career Education Courses for Marin High School Students

Did you know that College of Marin offers courses for high school students?

  • Credit classes are available to high school students in Marin County each semester, Spring, Summer and Fall. High school students can enroll and earn college credit.
  • COM covers the enrollment fees, normally $46/unit for current high school students (e.g. does not apply to high school students once they have graduated). High school students can enroll in up to 11 units—a savings of $506 per semester!
  • Students are responsible only for fees, including: mandatory health fee ($20); mandatory transportation fee ($3/unit); cost of books or materials may apply, depending on the classes taken; optional student fees normally charged may be waived with waiver request form.

How to Sign Up

Step 1: Apply online at www.marin.edu so that you can set up your MyCOM Portal so that you can receive important notices and also stay in touch with your instructor. Soon after submitting your application you will receive a Welcome Letter with your Student ID number (M00xxxxxx), username and password.

Step 2: Complete the College Credit Program (CCP) application, including all required signatures. CCP applications are also available at your local high school counseling center.

Step 3: Attend a group orientation (bring your completed CCP form) or call (415) 485-9432 to make a short appointment to meet with a counselor and turn in your CCP form. If you cannot attend one of the group orientations, you should ask for a drop-in appointment at either Counseling Office (Kentfield or Indian Valley Campuses).

Step 4: Pay the mandatory health and transportation fees either at the Cashier’s Office (Kentfield or Indian Valley Campus) or online.
